A day with Gustav

We basically got a little (and I mean very little) wind and rain from Gustav--for which we are thankful!!  Here are a few snapshots (pretty much all SOOC) of our day.

The kids were bored since no one was in town and there were no evening activities, so they got out the slip n slide, put some dish soap on it, and played in the rain. :-)

J and E have been watching a little too much Wipe Out!  They decided to act like they were on the Dizzy Dummy before approaching the slip n slide.  What am I going to do with them?? :-)

K riding her scooter

M tickling K after she took a little tumble. Works every time. :-)

H getting herself wet so she wouldn't soak up the water on the slip n slide--that's how little rain we got out of this whole deal!

Here is E with her sweet, very patient dog.  Is it just me, or does he look like he's smiling??

She is teaching him some really neat tricks for an upcoming event--one of which is to catch a ball in the air.  He also plays dead on command.  My favorite: she holds out a treat and acts like she's reading ingredients that aren't good for you (sugar, high in carbs and fat, etc.) and he won't eat it--then when she says, "Oh, but wait, it has protein!" he gobbles it up.  That is so cool!  :-)

E with her dog again

Shelby--my, what a big nose you have!  :0)

We got some rain.  Can you see it??

K at the end of the day--a tired but happy little girl :-)
